Gaillardia x grandiflora The second perennial gaillardia in the 'Arizona' series to win AAS honors. Like its predecessor, Arizona Sun, this is sure to become one of the mainstays in gardens around the world. The 3 to 3 1/2 inch daisy-like flowers are a unique apricot color that is lighter in color than traditional gaillardias. Yellow petal edges trim the rich apricot petals that surround colorful coned centers. The compact, 12 inch tall plants are very free-flowering, blooming from early summer into fall. Plants grown from seed will bloom the first year without vernalization. Very hardy, relatively maintenance-free and drought-tolerant once established. Plant in full sun. Allow approximately 90 days from sowing seed for flowers.
